*Public Service Announcement: If you are at a stage in your life where you are in a cash crunch and you’re struggling to save money, please politely pass on by and just ignore this post. If you are a fellow frugalista, you’re going to be just as excited as I am about Amazon Prime Day because of all the deals that are being offered during this time. This is really the perfect time to capitalize on some great deals on some quality items on your wishlist if you’ve been squirreling away funds for it all year long.
Although I am not a type-A personality, I have so much respect for them for making things easier for me to practice and implement in my own life. One of the things I’ve learned is to plan now to get all of my holiday shopping done so that I can free up my precious time to focus on more pending matters, like my family during the holidays.
Summertime is the only time of year when I can take a nice quick breather and enjoy my time with family. It’s my calm season right before my stormy season. So that I can really make the most of my limited time during the latter half of the year when all of our lives get really busy and our funds become more tied up in other holiday-related & extracurricular activities.Â
Now is the best time to get the best deals and check off my to-do’s list, my shopping lists, and my wish lists. Here are some great deals along with some helpful tips on how to make the most of Amazon Prime Day.
Home Organization Essentials:Â
Whenever an appliance breaks or wears out during the year, my hubby and I would make a Wish List and keep an eye out for a good deal on something that we get to replace it.Â
We are in the season of our lives where we believe that less is more. So to truly be intentional about simplifying the chaos of hoarding things for the sake of it, we have set up a rule in our household that we won’t buy anything we don’t need.
Well, except for when it dies on us. These are some of the things we are looking at to help with decluttering, organizing, & streamlining our home.
I love that these are stainless steel and even better that they are washable and reusable because I just cannot stand plastic straws or creating unnecessary waste.Â
Same as above, I just can’t stand throwing away something like plastic sandwich bags if I can help it. Just a swipe of soap and water and I can easily reuse these again and again.
We pack our lunches every day and we do the same for our kids to take to school. This helps us save money and teaches them to be intentional about their dietary intake as well.
4- Cuisinart CPT-180 Metal Classic 4-Slice Toaster, Brushed Stainless
We love our 4 slice toaster oven. Ours is still going strong after 11 years of marriage, it was given to us as a wedding present. One of the grates fell off a few years ago and it’s still chugging along. This is what we’d replace it with when it does in fact, bite the dust.
5- Hamilton Beach coffee maker dispenser
Coffee is a must-have in our household. I love this one because of the capacity and ease of use. It dispenses hot coffee and keeps it warm for a long time.
Although I’ve said it before, I am far from a chef, I do indeed cook a lot from home because I am frugal. However, I do not care to spend much time in the kitchen, thus, the Instant Pot is my solution for that!
We have a basement bar/entertainment area and this is perfect for the holidays or social gatherings. It looks great and it serves a purpose of keeping all of your fancy beverages chilled for party guests.
8- Nostalgia BSET300AQ Retro 3-in-1 Family Size Breakfast Station, Aqua
We take our breakfasts seriously at home. This saves us so much time on the weekends when we are able to sit down together and eat breakfast with our family. Also, I love this aqua/mint green color.
9- Simple Houseware Heavy-Duty 3-Bag Laundry Sorter Cart, Chrome
Laundry is the bane of my existence. If there are any tasks that I can outsource, I would gladly vote for laundry hands down. This laundry hamper on wheels is the next best thing for now.Â
These are wonderful to wear, especially in the summertime at the waterpark. The concrete is downright hot on your feet and these are just perfect for treading on land and water without feeling heavy or cumbersome.Â

There’s no other time in history quite like today where so many of us have the luxury of choosing to work from home. Here are a few of our must-haves that I love using on a daily basis to keep me on my A-game while I’m working from home.Â
If you are a visual person like me, you will appreciate having these post-it notes. I use these babies regularly and they help me organize my life.

This is such a smart, digital, and efficient way to take notes without killing all the trees.

This is great for multi-tasking. Imagine doing laundry while you’re listening to a podcast without getting yanked by a cord and being constantly tethered to your laptop, you’re welcome. 🙂
This is a great power bank for those of us who are constantly on the go and can’t find anywhere to plug-in our devices. Having one of these on hand is a game-changer when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere.
This is a great phone charger for your car. For some of us, our cars can do double duty as our transportation mode as well as our office. This is also a must-have for working while we travel.Â
13- Fitbit Alta HR, Black, Small (US Version)
Sometimes working from home means long hours on our bums too. Having a fit bit allows us to get in that much-needed exercise to keep us our minds and bodies healthy.Â
14- Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with Alexa – Sandstone
Think The Jetsons, but in real life! You can ask Alexa to check the weather before you even set foot outside the door. Ask her to dim the lights and set the mood for our date night without lifting a finger. Don’t you just love living in the information age?
To Recap:
Although it may feel like the holidays are so far away right now since we are right smack in the middle of July, planning ahead for the things that you need and want way in advance could save you a great deal of time, money, and frustration later on.
Then when the holidays eventually rolls around, all you’d really need to do is just sit back and enjoy because you’ve already done the shopping, way back in July! 🙂
If you’ve had your eye on some of these items all year round and you’ve been saving up to get it, now is the time to nab it for a great price.
However, if you are in a cash crunch, AVOID shopping altogether and just politely pass on by because the best way to save money is to not spend any at all.Â
